Privacy Policy
last updated 29 july 2026 - mostly anonymous, no account needed
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how IE Kanstantsin Naumovich ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you play I'm Wizard (the "App"), our game for Apple Vision Pro (visionOS).
We built I'm Wizard to respect your privacy. We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or other directly identifying information to play. The information we do collect is mostly anonymous, technical, and used to keep the game working and to understand how it is played so we can improve it.
This Policy covers both the App and our website (iwizard.app) - see §17 Cookies on our website for what the website itself does. Our community channels (Discord, YouTube) are run by those companies and have their own privacy practices.
Who we are (data controller)
The data controller responsible for your information is:
Registered address: Gorgiladze 98, 678, Batumi 6000, Georgia
Privacy contact: supportiwizard@gmail.com
If you have any questions about this Policy or your data, contact us at the email above.
Information we collect
Information you do not give us
You can play without creating an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, postal address, date of birth, or payment card details.
A pseudonymous device identifier
When you first launch the App, we generate a random identifier (a UUID) and store it on your device. This identifier is not linked to your real-world identity. We use the same identifier across our analytics and crash-reporting tools so we can understand the experience of a single (anonymous) player. You can reset it at any time by deleting and reinstalling the App.
Gameplay and usage data (analytics)
To understand how the game is played and where players get stuck, we collect events such as:
- Sessions & runs: game start, run end (reason, duration, wave reached, play area size, game mode), session length, number of replays.
- Combat & progression: enemies killed (type, spell used, counts), player deaths (cause, wave), waves started/completed, damage taken, abilities/spells used, talent upgrade levels.
- Navigation: which menus and screens you open (main menu, talents, settings, how-to-play, contact, etc.) and which buttons you tap.
- Purchases: in-app purchase attempts and results, product identifier, price, and currency (see "Purchases" below).
These events describe how the game is used. They do not include the contents of your room, your voice, or your hand movements (see "Sensor data" below).
Device and technical data
With analytics events we also collect technical context: app version and build, operating system version, device model, platform (visionOS), device language, a session identifier, and engagement time. When the App connects to our analytics, crash-reporting, and configuration services, those services also receive your device's IP address, which is used to provide the service and to infer coarse location (country/region) - we do not collect precise GPS location.
Sensor data processed on your device only
The App uses several Apple Vision Pro capabilities that require your permission. The data from these capabilities is processed on your device to make the game work and is not transmitted to us or stored by us:
- Microphone & speech recognition - to recognize spoken spell commands during play. Audio is processed on-device; we do not record, store, or transmit your voice.
- Hand tracking - so you can cast spells and control the game with hand gestures.
- World/surroundings sensing - to detect real surfaces (e.g., walls) so the game can place portals and react to your room.
The App does not receive eye-tracking or gaze data - on visionOS, where you look is handled by the operating system for input and is not shared with apps.
Purchases (handled by Apple)
In-app purchases (for example, the "Golden Spell") and any donations are processed by Apple through the App Store / StoreKit. Apple handles your payment; we never receive or store your payment card information. We receive only the result of the transaction (success/failure), the product identifier, and the price and currency.
Game Center (handled by Apple)
If you choose to sign in to Apple Game Center, Apple provides leaderboard and cloud save functionality. Your Game Center display name may appear on the leaderboard, your score is submitted to a leaderboard, and your game progress can be saved to your Game Center / iCloud account. This data is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; signing in is optional and you can decline.
If you contact us
If you email our support address from inside the App, we will receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, so we can respond to you.
How we collect information
- Automatically as you play (gameplay events, device/technical data, crash reports).
- Directly from you only if you contact support or make a purchase.
- From Apple for Game Center and App Store purchase confirmations.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide and run the game - load remote configuration/balancing, deliver core features, and process purchases.
- Keep the game stable - detect and diagnose crashes and errors.
- Understand and improve gameplay - analyze which features, waves, spells, and screens players use, and where they struggle, so we can balance and improve the game.
- Prevent abuse and protect the service - anti-abuse attestation (Firebase App Check) to help ensure requests come from a genuine, unmodified app.
- Respond to you - answer support requests.
- Comply with the law - meet legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about you (see §08).
Legal bases for processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract - to provide the game you requested, run essential remote configuration, and process your purchases.
- Legitimate interests - to keep the game secure and stable (crash reporting and anti-abuse) and to understand how the game is played so we can improve it. We have weighed these interests against your rights, and you can object at any time (see §11).
- Consent - where applicable law requires your consent for certain processing, we act in accordance with that consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
How we share information - third-party services
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the service providers below so the App can function. Each processes data on our behalf or as an independent controller for the limited purposes shown.
| Service provider | Purpose | Data involved | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC - Google Analytics 4 | Product/usage analytics | Anonymous identifier, gameplay events, device/technical data, IP address | USA |
| Mixpanel, Inc. | Product/usage analytics | Anonymous identifier, gameplay events, device/technical data, IP address | USA |
| Google LLC - Firebase Crashlytics | Crash & error diagnostics | Anonymous identifier, crash/diagnostic logs, device state | USA |
| Google LLC - Firebase Remote Config & App Check | Game configuration & anti-abuse | Device/technical data, IP address, app-integrity tokens | USA |
| Apple Inc. - App Store / StoreKit, Game Center | Purchases, leaderboards, cloud save, on-device speech | Transaction result, Game Center identity (if you sign in), saved game data | USA / your region |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public.
Advertising and tracking
The App does not display third-party ads, does not use the Apple Advertising Identifier (IDFA), does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising purposes.
International data transfers
We are based in Georgia, and several of our service providers are located in the United States. When your information is transferred internationally (including to the USA), we rely on appropriate safeguards - such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and our providers' data-transfer frameworks - to protect it.
Data retention
- On-device identifier and settings: kept on your device until you delete/reinstall or reset the App.
- Analytics data (Google Analytics 4, Mixpanel): retained no longer than necessary for the purposes described, and up to 14 months.
- Crash diagnostics (Crashlytics): retained according to the provider's standard retention (typically up to ~90 days for individual reports).
- Support emails: kept as long as needed to handle your request and for our records.
When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. To exercise them, email supportiwizard@gmail.com.
Everyone
- Ask what data we hold about you and request a copy.
- Ask us to correct or delete your data.
- Stop further collection by uninstalling the App.
EEA / UK (GDPR)
- Access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction of, and objection to, processing (including profiling for analytics).
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the EU) or the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
California (CCPA/CPRA)
- Know / access the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected.
- Delete your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" - we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information - we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right.
- Non-discrimination - we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
For CCPA purposes, in the past 12 months we have collected these categories: identifiers (the anonymous app identifier), internet/electronic network activity (gameplay and usage events), and device/technical information. We disclose these to the analytics and diagnostics providers in §07 for business purposes only.
We respond to requests within the time required by applicable law - generally within one month (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA) - and will tell you if we need more time. Because we identify players only by an anonymous device identifier and do not hold your name or email, we may ask for information needed to locate your data (such as the in-app identifier), and where we genuinely cannot identify you, we may be unable to action a request (Article 11 GDPR).
Your choices and controls
- Permissions: You can grant or revoke microphone, hand-tracking, and surroundings permissions at any time in Apple Vision Pro Settings. Some features will not work without them.
- Game Center: Signing in is optional; you can decline or sign out in system settings.
- Reset your identifier: Deleting and reinstalling the App generates a new anonymous identifier and stops further collection until you reopen the App.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission to our providers (HTTPS), reputable third-party infrastructure, and app-integrity checks (App Check). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
I'm Wizard is not directed to children under 13, consistent with Apple's requirement that Apple Vision Pro is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at supportiwizard@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice (for example, in the App or on iwizard.app). Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
